I have a little grease on the interior of my tinted passenger side window.. they say use water only, but i'm doubting I can get it off with just water and a microfiber towel... any recommendations? thx

I've used Windex and Stoners Glass Cleaner on my tinted windows for the last 5 years. That being said, I take no responsibility if you ruin your tint. Call the place who installed the tint and find out what's safe to use or start with an unnoticable corner, just in case.

Get tint safe glass cleaner. Basically, it is ammonia free. Can't remember, but it may also be alcohol free too.

Yeah, I've heard Windex (anything w/ ammonia) is a no go.. I know MEK will get the grease off easy but didn't figure that would be good for the tint. Wasn't aware of tint safe glass cleaner however

x2, windex and newspaper is an old trick to get your windows clean... She wasn't being sarcastic. Something in the ink that helps clean the windows and leave them streak-free.

    Don't use Windex

    Use Stoner's Invisible Glass

Used it on my Legacy's tinted glass for years and it worked great.

Straight water on a lint free cloth. Dont use anything but water on tint. If you need to clean them due to really dirty windows go back to where you got them tinted and let them do it.

You honestly expect people to bring their truck back to the tint shop every time you need your windows cleaned??

If you use straight water, use distilled but if you have anything oily on your windows, good luck getting it off with just water...

Get a spray bottle and mix in some dawn with water. Shake it up. Use that with newspaper.

Stoners and news paper work best no streaks and no lint. The news paper is an old detailers trick as mentioned above.

I've been using both auto glass cleaner (amonia free) or warm/hot water with dish detergent.

    Using auto glass cleaner:

Get two clean micro fiber towels. Spray one towel with glass cleaner and wipe window - then buff with other micro towel.

    Dish soap:

Wring towel out well and wipe down window - then buff with with other towel.

I've heard over the years that newspaper works well because of the ink to keep streaks down, but i've tried it and was not impressed with it. It's hard to work with and I don't get the results as I do with the microfiber.

My favorite glass cleaner is Prima Clarity.

Stoner's Invisible Glass also works well.
