Any tips on how to get tree sap off of a softopper? I park under a tree at work sometimes, and there are a couple of spots that i cant remove.

Tried dishwashing soap, just regular water, and good old fashioned elbow grease with no success.

Looking for info on what yall have used to clean these up without damaging the canvas..

    Thanks in advance yall:cheers:

Don’t park under trees. Its not worth the damage it causes to vehicles.

I would use warm soap and water and my nails. No harsh chemicals, it will harm the topper.

You may try a razor blade just obviously use caution. The material is pretty tough so at the right angle you can probably peel it up.

Mineral oil should do the trick.

Warm it up with a blow dryer but in a circular motion other wise it may warp canvas so it softens an use some goo b gone an microfiber towel.

I only use isopropyl alcohol diluted 50/50 with water.
You might be able to use it I would just dilute it and make sure you wash it off thouroughly quickly.

I’d be too scared to use it on my softopper.

Hand sanitizer. Chris Fix did a video testing what removes tree sap the best, and hand sanitizer worked best, due to the high alcohol content. Since its gel, it's easier to control too.

    My shit is all stock.
Did you ask Softopper what they recommend ?

I like the mineral oil idea.

What about "bug & tar Remover"? (might try it on an area less seen first tho.)

This was going to be my suggestion. Worked wonders when I sat in a huge puddle of pine sap on a bench once when camping.

Peanut butter. Works on hair and skin, don't see why it wouldn't work on a softopper.
