    Hi all,
having removed my bed I was going to blast the area with a pressure washer before Fluid Filming. But, I see there is a lot of parts under there, particularly above the gas tank area. Am I OK to power wash all that down or do I need to tread lightly?

    Thanks in advance

Just avoid directly spraying any of the connecters and wire bundles and you should be good.

OK thanks guys, I'll treat that spot the same as when washing the engine bay.

be careful of the charcoal canister, that bastard is pricey and you don't want to wash that down directly with high pressure.

Very true. Oddly enough, there is a NEW one for sale in the 2nd parts forum.

Only time I seen one go bad was from the neighbor topping off the tank.
He’s one of those penny pincher type, he uses “fuel points” to get a cheaper price on fuel.
And kept pumping more and more in after the nozzle clicked.

I had herd this wasn’t good, but I know for a fact it will cause issue.
He had to replace the canister because it was saturated with fuel.
I think he said it cost over $500 to have it replaced.

I miss the old guys, even though he was stubborn to the core.
That guy would always try to “make a deal” in trade for me to mow his yard.

I look at it like this: That area is always hosed down with water and salt etc from the road every time it rains or snows etc.

As long as you don't blast the connectors with high pressure you will be fine.

I used to, but only to round to the nearest $1 when paying cash.
But now they don’t turn the pumps on unless you prepay, so I don’t.
