Clear Coat on Trail Wheels

Yea, I thought he was a little high too. Just thought I'd throw it your way though.

 

He's not high but it looks like he cleaned them with a Brillo pad

 

@rjbiii having the center cap makes a big difference I think.

Rick, I know you were skeptical on the tires. How are you liking them now that you have had them for a little while?

 

Only been 3 days but I am amazed at the very little noise they make, and when I hit any type of bumps they feel softer than the ST/MAXX I had

 

They sure are quiet for an aggressive looking tire aren't they?

 

Yeah very, how long have you had them? Someone posted in one the treads I posted pics of that the tires suck in the snow, I don't see how that could be.

 

They are terrible in the snow cause the tread packs and they pattern doesn't have no clean outs!

 

Maybe offroad but on the street they are fine. Probably in line with any other AT or maybe even a little bit better

 

Now all you have to do is clock that center cap to match the clocked white letters on the spare tire to satisfy the OCD types around here - like me.

If you are a street driver they are fine but why pay big bucks for a at tire if you are only driving on the street. Why not just go buy a regular highway tire?

 

Some people buy things for looks which for me I don't Offroad so I got them more for looks cuz I thought the Cooper atp's looked like a skinned cat on the rim, and there was no meat on them. And after all my rebates including 5 tires with replacement certificates I paid under $1,000 for all 5 shipped to my house. So I guess that's why

 

He doesn't wheel. He has an AT tire for looks

I use mine for daily driving and have a set of MT's for wheeling. MT's suck in the snow and highway tires look terrible on a lifted truck

 

Definitely does! I think wheels look like theyre missing something whenever they dont have center caps. Some folks like to run them without though.. to each is own i guess, but i think it looks much better with center caps!
