Clear film areas on Tacoma

I noticed theres a few areas around the wheels that have like a clear like film over the paint, which I assume is there to better to protect the paint. Avoid applying wax/sealant to these areas?

 

Wax everything that's not black plastic.

Watch the edges of the film as you can get wax under the edges of the film. It will look terrible.

 

You can use some products like Meguiars Synthetic Express Spray Wax and wax everything. Paint, Black plastic, rubber seals even the glass.
Wash your Taco then mist it on and wipe it down while drying your truck.
