    For some of these guys it was their second time out on a trail. And I believe one guy was was his first in a stock truck. As I learned riding motorcycles, in order to go fast you have to take it slow.

    We didn't actually meet up with the Yellow truck he just happen to be there. As far as the harder bypasses, not sure which ones those are. First time at Cleghorn

    We could have used some experience guys up there for sure.

    We will have to join you when Denny gets his truck fixed.

    Yeah that older Toyota was pretty bad ass. Basically we saw Toyotas and Jeeps out there. I think there was maybe 1 or 2 Ford Broncos.

    This trip was a GREAT motivator to:

    - get those sliders on (scheduled to arrive Monday)
    - get a better skid plate set up mid ship
    - lift and tires (any detailed suggestions more than welcome)
    - CB

    I agree with bajamoon on how much you want to spend regarding tires and lift. But do it right and you will not be regretting it later on. There are plenty of set ups. It also depends on how much wheeling you will do.

    A TUNED CB is a must.

    I would go with a True Coilover. Research King, Fox, Icon, Camburg. Those are few of the biggest names out there. They are all local to Southern California too i believe. You can also check out Toytec's Ultimate lift as that is a popular one here. The Search on this forum is your friend. I would do that first before starting a post that has already been discussed. DO NOT GO WITH A SPACER LIFT.

    The whole fire road is Pre Runner friendly but there are some off paths that can be challenging but the locker guys made it through.
