I live in Seattle. I bought the truck just outside of Dallas, TX. So of course I broke it in with a 3,500 mile road trip back home.

I packed it with my fly fishing gear, a cush camping mattress, toasty sleeping bag and drove home. I stopped off at a few national parks and family members' houses along the way, but mostly just slept in the bed.

    Installed for the trip:
    Escort Max360 Radar Detector
    Blackvue DR590W Dash Camera
    Uniden Bearcat 980

Good looking truck! How long did it take you to install your dash cam?

Not long. For the road trip, I just stuck it on the suction mount and plugged it in to the cigarette lighter.

Once I got home I hard wired it using a fuse tap. I did the Blackvue GPS unit, Camera and Detector wiring at the same time, probably an hour and a half total. Most of that was running/hiding wires and zip tying the extra lengths.

that’s good to know. I’ll be in the same boat in a few months and that will also be my first purchase. Thanks

Currently prepping for a 5,000 mile road trip with my 130lb Newfoundland. And since she's too big for the back seat, I decided to make some modifications.

I purchased the full rear seat delete from Goose Gear and after a 4 month wait, it finally arrived this week and I was able to install it.
