There is a dip in the concrete close to my house and the transition from driveway-to-street has a dip in it.

Every time I come home and my front end dips down, then up quickly, I hear a click sound. Loud enough to hear in the cab. If I back out off my garage and let off the brake, letting my front end dip and come back up, it clicks (driveway-to-street).

It doesn't do it on normal bumps, just the big ones.

I brought it to the mechanic, because I've checked sway bar links, skid plate, tightened multiple bolts (trying not to strip anything). I'm not finding anything on TW that I haven't tightened.

The mechanic is a local guy who just bought out an older guy, so I trust him because it's his livelihood. He tightened the spindle bolts there, but it still does it. My thought was a coil? Any ideas?

It could be your brake caliber. There's people that know a lot more than I do, but I remember reading that there is a gap between the pad and the caliber and sometimes it "clicks" when it moves. I have the same sound when I drive over speed humps in my neighborhood. I'm curious what others have to say.

I hope this is what it is. I'm aware of the floating caliper when I begin to back up. Just odd when I'm moving forward and it makes this sound.
