Clicking in front

Can a half shaft produce a clicking noise even if the boots aren't torn? I've got a clicking on what sounds like the passenger side and I know it's not the bearing because I just replaced it. It could be the bearings inside the diff but other than those two things, I'm lost.

 

when does the clicking sound happen? Does it happen only when driving straight, turning, both? Does it get faster as you get faster? I've had CV axles go bad without the boot torn in the past. Would you have a video of this sound since sounds are hard to describe and understand through words?

 

I had a clicking sound for about a month. dealer ran a diagnostic for me. it was the alternator bearings going. Alternator being replaced now by my mechanic.
