hey everybody! i have this clicking noise coming from my driveshaft or something that might connect to it. i have recorded the sound and uploaded to youtube. i havent been able to be underneath the truck to feel the shaft as someone else shifts, but im fairly certain it is coming from the shaft. i could be wrong tho! Maybe a U-joint? thank you!

I’d wager a ujoint. You can remove the shaft and check the joints by hand.

    Do you grease them regularly?

I am not aware of it was greased before I had it. I grease them with amsoil. I have had vibration since I got the truck. I have only replaced the center bearing. That fixed the problem for a day before it came back which makes me think I should have done the proper thing and replace all of u-joints when I had it out. I have 2 more 1330s coming in the mail. If anyone is looking, I found Spicer's are cheapest at RockAuto! 51 shipped for 2.

Sounds a lot like my drive shaft clicking sound:

It was a bad U Joint. Needed to be replaced. It was obvious which one it was once I got the driveshaft out. Here's the damage, no needle bearings at all left in one of the caps, just dry rusty dust:

    Sweet rust bro!

kidding aside I just did all three of my rear ujoints this week and all the clicking I was experiencing is now gone as well.
My clicking wasn’t nearly as bad as what was in the second video. It was more upon takeoff from a dead stop and then shifting 1 -> 2.

Overall drive quality when shifting is much better now as well. Kinda wish I did it sooner ~115k on it. Didn’t replace carrier bearing.

Thank you for posting this! I have the beginnings of this click/tick. Been trying to figure out what the hell it was, skated alongside trying to find the noise. Even a shop couldn't track it down .
