Hello everyone, it’s my first post! I have a 2019 Toyota Tacoma SR5 that has had a slight clicking sound on the front drivers side whenever I go over a speed bump around 35-40kmph it made the same noise when I first got it and it hasn’t gotten any worse or better but now it’s really starting to bother me. Could anyone suggest anything that it could be ?

I have chased this sound for a while, it comes and goes. I replaced the worn support bushings in the front with poly, kind of toned down the noise as worn factory bushings were metal on metal. Then replaced front suspension with eibach and noise went away for a good 6months. Now its coming back again. I just hit the gnarly bumps a little slower and its quiet. Theres a speedbump that fronts my work that everyone hauls over and you can hear every Tacoma 2nd or 3rd gen "click" as they go over it. I heave read Toyota techs claim its the shocks but these are stock, lightly modded, and mental 12" lifts all making the same noise.
There are a few threads already made here on the subject, sorry i dont have the links.

    Good luck!

Could be something loose or broken like a sway bar link. I will tell you to start simple though, because I thought I had a clunk going over bumps, when in reality, it was just my hitch rattling in the receiver . I would check to make sure everything is torqued, and nothing is loose to start off. Noisy shock internals are also a possibility, and wouldn’t surprise me honeslty.

Likely core support bushings. If you are within warranty, take it in

No money, all went to truck...
Another possible cause is loose spare tire. But sounds like its coming from the front.

You aren't supposed to go over a speed bump at 40 mph

It’s wildly frustrating. I took mine into the dealer multiple times, but the “techs” were useless. I even drove with a dude and demonstrated it to him. A lot of threads seem to think it’s the body mount bushing, but supposedly mine are normal.

Mine does this up front, there is a speedbump near my house and every tacoma that goes over it makes the same clunk. I think it's a bad strut or bushing on a control arm but I can't find shit.

+1 for swaybar link as well, but I will tell you I chased a similar sound for a week before someone on this board recommended checking the sunglass holder and, sure enough, there was my issue...noisy sunglasses. So, check that!

Thanks for your input I appreciate it! No sunglasses in the holder and the sound is definitely coming from the front suspension area
