Check your cab mount bolts. The bolt that goes through the frame into the body by the cab mount and where the kick panel is on the inside. I had a similar noise that tightening that bolt did the trick.

Maybe brake pads shifting around? Try gently pressing the brake next time you roll over the bump

I put 6112’s on my 22 trdor and had clicking going 20mph+ over speed bumps… my top bolt that holds the shock rod/bushings down was loose…

I replaced them with the polyurethane bushings last summer and all it did was helping the sheet metal crack under the battery box (to hard, no flex) so i put new OEM back in the summer..
just put back on my TRD skid after 3 months to help find it. Have had the truck from new early 2016 and the noise for 2 years or so. thanks I'm sure i will find it eventually.

Yep old trick to help eliminate a few different part. Im 59 and didn't make any difference. have had a few much older cars over the years and they get cranky as the get older. thanks

If it makes you feel any better my sheet metal cracked there too, on both sides with the OEM bushings.

I replaced my front shocks and springs three months ago and have not heard the clank since . I don’t know enough about how all of the pieces of the front suspension interact to be able to isolate the culprit, but that’s my personal experience.

Did you have wear in lower eyelet on original shock?

I didn’t notice initially, but I’ll take a closer look when I get back home in a few days.

I was told that sound is from the leaf springs. My friend with a Colorado had a plastic spacer put in the leafs to stop the slap.

Mine does the same thing. Almost like its on a full compression of the strut assembly. Driver's side front. problem is I have 2 speed bumps I have to go over every day to get to my house. I just thought a 2016 sport with 100k on it was the problem.

    I know what this is......

I replaced my front pads on both sides and the only clean up was the upper and lower horizontal pins holding the pads in place. I sanded, used steel wool and brake lube before sliding back into place. This sound, which has bugged me for the last couple of years, is gone. I verified by driving over the same spots that always made it click. Done deal.

My 2017 used to click up front when I went over bumps or some road imperfections, changed the front struts with bilstein 5100s kept the same springs and I haven’t heard a click since

i have had 4 Tacomas throught my life 2 of which are still around: a 2012 3rd gen red TRD full cab, and a 2017 blue 4x4 that I really dont use cuz I dont like it as much as the red one.
No mods all original, no crashes or bumps on neither.
Most likely the rubber bushings of the links for suspension n sway/stab bar: here is a picture of mine when I fixed it: I go through 8 speed bumps at 30km twice a day the whole 12 years I have had this pickup IMG-20240918-WA0006.jpg

The one im holding in hand is a new one that belongs to other car but they all look similar
