I have a 2016 trd sport.. I noticed recently when ever my front end dips down when entering my rather steep drive way I hear a click. sounds like in my front suspension.. Almost sounds like a bolt is getting loosened every time my truck dips down.

Anyone else having this issue and know what might be the cause?

Strut mount bushing is my guess. But it's tough to say without hearing it.

I think some people were having body mount bushings go bad. It's been a while so I can't really remeber, but search that.

I have been hearing what sounds like metal rubbing metal coming from my front right wheel area occasionally going over speed bumps. Apparently it's caused by the front body mount bushings wearing out.

Sounds like front body mounts . my passenger side was worn all the way through to metal on metal contact . the driver side was not far behind.

This noise comes from the brakes. You may think I am crazy but my truck does the same thing and this is not the first time this has been asked or the first thread stared on account of this odd noise.

Had a similar experience. However mine was more of a squeaking / screeching noise while hitting speed bumps. Dealer replaced right front strut under warranty.

Is this possible with only 16k and very easy city driving?

I could understand if I've been offroading like a mad man

If you take it to a dealer. Take it to cabe Toyota in long beach (unless that South bay you live in is up north). They seem to be the most understanding since the service manager there owns a tacoma and wheels it.

Yes, apparently it was a defective part/design.

Don't forget to give them a zero as leverage on their survey if they you it's " normal".

Seriously. If you have to escalate to corporate and bypass the dealer do it.

I'm just bitter about my differential..

My body mounts were bad with 700 miles of street driving, it's a manufacturing installation problem.

And you have a 3rd gen? Would you hear a clicking noise when the front of the vehicle dipped?

Yes , it was a 2017 . The body mount is a creaking and popping from the front of the vehicle when you hit a bump or a dip but also off camber , pulling in the driveway or a washboard type road . Slow or fast Like a jiggle in the front . You might have The strut mount noise that some people of had But I don't know about that one.

Honestly the dealer was pretty useless. I fixed it myself with the help of the people here on Tacoma world. I never would've figured it out on my own, especially on a brand new truck.
