Sorry it took so long bud. Works been crazy lately and I've been out of it. Tell you the truth, I forgot until it struck me today. Here's what I replaced. Mine had a small crack in the weld I believe. I would suggest you remove the bumper skin, then the aluminum bumper rail, then these aluminum bumper bracket/blocks. Drive it around a bit, making certain that you do some things that will shift weight and torque the frame. If you don't get the noise, this may very well be your issue.

[this explains my issue as well, I cant see why the sway bar would come into play here. I also have the toytech lift. I am thinking Nubbs on this post has hit it on the head. I am still under a warranty so Im thinking I will be. Taking Her Into the stealership. anyone know if there is a chance the lift is causing the cracked bracket?QUOTE=DR Da_da;6392512]I'm getting a clank/clack/click (or whatever) in my front end as well. A few weeks ago I installed ToyTec's ultimate lift coil-overs, Light Racing UCAs, new outer tie rod ends, and new lower ball joints all at the same time. The clacking initially began only in the front left. I'd hear a thunk when turning the wheel from the right to the left as the weight of the truck shifted from one side to the other. Now, after a couple weeks, the clanking is in both sides and is getting louder/worse. I initially thought the brake pads were slapping around due to slack/play as the pads are wearing down. However, it didn't start doing this until after the lift. It's only present at low speeds (i.e. when pulling into/out of my driveway or parking spaces, and when doing low-speed turns).

I'm thinking I either messed up the CVs in my front drive shafts or the new lower ball joints (Moog) are bad. Although I doubt it, should I be looking at my front bumper mounts as noted in this thread?[/QUOTE]

Thanks man. I like the other fella on here have installed a Toytech lift and then this whole thing started. Think it could be the Lifts' extra flexing on the frames causing the issue? I also saw this as an issue on some other forums. Check it out here.

I'll have to crawl up under my truck and have a look, but I think my noises sound like they're coming from behind each wheel (around the brake assemblies/spindles). The part numbers for left and right bumper brackets are 52026-04010 and 52025-04010, respectively. The cheapest I've found w/ shipping included (it's free in this case) is $197.54 for both from Camelback Toyota in Phoenix, AZ.

After reading your specifics, I think this is less likely your issue, although not to be ruled out completely. Follow the steps I described before proceeding to purchase new bumper blocks.

Any of you guys live in Fontana? Saw a lifted Tacoma driven around near my house with no grill or bumper skin this morning.

Solved! My bumper mounting blocks are just fine, so no issue there. After recently installing ToyTec ultimate lift coil-overs, LR upper control arms, lower ball joints, and outer tie rod ends I retorqued every nut and bolt that I had to touch during the process twice. After putting my truck up on a lift, turning the wheel back and forth for a while to generate the pops/clanks/clicks, and having a few coworkers snoop around under the truck while doing this, we found that all four (two on each side of the truck) lower-ball-joint-bracket-to-steering-knuckle bolts backed out a bit. Retorqued them after applying blue Loctite and all is well! Proper torque is 118 ft-lbs.

Took it to the dealer they loosened all my suspension and retightened everything.....so far no more clicking. They also checked all the bumper mounts. After a lift things need to settle and be retightened on the ground rather that on a lift. Hopefully this was the fix. Good luck guys and thanks for the info.

Not trying to raise the dead here, but I think the lower ball joint bracket to the steering knuckle was also my problem. Once I pulled the bolts, one at a time, re-loktited them, and then torqued them back down it seems to be solved. Of course I'm still listening, and the minor brake pad shifts get me a little bit, but I think it's good. Thanks for the info and possible solutions folks.
