    It could be worth it to go through your work on that side and see if you find any issues. Are the wires new too?

    You got a leaky plug wire. Run the truck in the dark and lift the hood. I'll bet you see the arcing wire pretty easy.

    That was what I was thinking too. Reseating it might do the trick - check the boots for visible damage. You can swap wires around if you can't see any evidence of which one it is and see if you can identify the bad one by the moving sound.

    Not necessarily, you could just have a boot that needs reseated. Or, yes, the wires could be bad. Or, it might be something entirely else, Did you look at the engine in the dark yet?

    It looks like sparking, like a spark plug does, but often bigger and much louder.

    oh okay. i just checked. no sparks visible when i opened the hood while engine on.

    did you torque the plugs? I had a similar issue and found that I did not t torque one of the plugs after to rque the tick went away

    I have a ticking after changing my plugs and wires as well. I get it mainly while accelerating hard in 4th gear when the engine is warm. I torqued my plugs with a torque wrench, but I'm considering taking them out to inspect my work. Engine sounded perfect prior to changing the plugs and wires.
