I’ve got an ‘05 taco and on my commute home tonight a really loud, constant clicking sound starting coming from the dash area. Once I got home and pulled the glove box off the air filter was pretty dirty so I cleaned that, but I notice the upper part of the blower motor was moving and that’s what was causing the clicking. I screenshot the video: red circle there is a white plastic piece that’s moving (not sure if it is jammed), orange circle is where the noise is coming as it moves back and forth. Anyone have any insights?

That’s the air inlet control servomotor.

Or what everyone else calls the recirculate blend door motor.

This is what you need to replace.

It’s the part you circled in red. It controls the area you circled in orange. Hope this helps. I recently replaced mine. Use OEM Parts.
