    Hello,
I have a 04 Tacoma. The door lock on the driver side makes a clicking noise only when I lock the door. I am ready to take the door apart, but I would like to have an idea what the problem might be before I do that. Can anyone tell me what the problem might be, or what to look for?

Mine makes an annoying-for lack of a better term- goose honking noise and I have to sometimes manually lock that door. Investigation led to a solenoid type assembly. Corrections action > $200.00. Maybe it's not that annoying after all ;-)
