Before starting this new thread, I looked at all the applicable threads pertaining to this topic and many of them didn't seem to fit the profile of my truck and the sound was different as well. I have a 2007 Prerunner (so its a 2wd). I did some wheeling last week but no issues came until a few days ago when reversing out of my driveway and I heard a loud pop followed by a rubbing sound. The popping sound is more consistent that the rubbing sound. The rubbing is not the tires rubbing on anything. I have king 2.5 with an aftermarket UCA. The spherical bearings in the shocks are new and upgraded as of 4 months ago and Ive had no issues. My main thoughts of what it could be is either the Stock LCA with its stock bushings and balljoint, as well as the rack and pinion. I do high speed stuff and those are the only 2 things left stock on my truck. Whats your guys' input? would it be the rack and pinion or the LCA bushings?
