Yeah. The dreaded dealer. I try to diagnose things on my own because they are so unbelievably hard to work with and say everything is normal. If the engine burst into flames they’d say it’s a new feature.

Is there another dealer in your area? You don't have to engage the service department from the dealer you bought your truck from. If they're so difficult, don't give them your business. Or Toyota's warranty arm, as the case may be.

Yeah I’ll def shop around. A member of Tacoma 4G mentioned that it happens to his truck and he thinks it’s a stabilizer arm brushing against the skid plate. I’m gonna check that. Might be a not big deal.

Maybe not, but I can say that mine doesn't click. I don't have a TH, so I don't have a metal skidplate, but still. Even then, suspension parts shouldn't hit other parts in any part of the steering range.

Have you been under the truck with a good flashlight? Rub marks should be obvious if the stabilizer bar is touching anything.

You’re still stock except for the SCS wheels and tires? You haven’t done any mods to the suspension, right?

Correct - bone stock except wheels/ tires which don’t touch anything (and I think this was an issue before new wheels), and other than the cat guard which does get near the stabilizer - will crawl under I’ve got some excellent flashlights

Is it clicking or popping, could be a bad intermediate shaft.

Stabilizers look pretty clear. Must be something else. Taco rancher JR will help me diagnose later by turning wheel while I (carefully) inspect

No. Only at slow speeds. Have heard it turning in forward and reverse. I think it’s on the drivers side.

same for me on the slow speeds - but I feel it a tiny bit in the steering wheel when it happens like in a parking lot or in my garage from time to time - we will figure it out hopefully

I have the same clicking sounds happening on my 2024 Tacoma Trailhunter. I'm at 7000 miles now on my odometer and I don't believe it was always making these clicking sounds when i first bought it. I will be following this thread to see what insight may come out of it from others who are much more knowledgeable than I about this.

I feel better I’m not the only one. I’m crawling under my rig tomorrow to see what I can see. But I’m no expert on any of this.

I get this same noise on my TH when I stop, and turn the wheel hard over (either direction) for a tight turn. The dealer wanted $200 to check it out, I passed.
