Nice. I plan on doing that to mine. Scuff em down and and shoot em in trim black to match the rest of my dash.

If you have HVAC controls that are the same size diameter and post size as a 2nd gen then very likely.

    If not... :notsure:

I tried to drill min to put the OEM clips in, and I don't have the 17/32" bit. I used the 1/4" and on drilled a little off center. Tonite I'll try to enlarge all of ten and bring that one back to true center.

Should've just put the teflon tape on the posts first. Ugh.

Same exact thing, should have left it alone as the knobs were fine to start with. I drilled one and it went perfect but the other 2 got f'd up so I ended up ordering another set. This time I'm leaving them alone.

I'm going to try to fix, but I don't think I'll be successful. Fortunately I used a 1/4" bit so, being smaller than needed, I could possibly "walk" the bit in the hole and even it out.

I placed an order on AliExpress just in case.... even with both sets, $20 out of pocket is still a cheap mod.

Got mine and installed, took about 10 minutes total. 5 minutes to come up with a "spacer" for 2 of them, 4 minutes to come up with a spacer for the other 1 minute to install.

I used a rubber band that I cut down to fit in the slotted section to take up slack on the knobs that have the flat edge which took up slop and tightened them up so no glue is necessary.

On the other knob which has the matching mating pattern there was a couple mm of slop when turning the knob so I used a piece of 24AWG solid core copper wire I pulled from a piece of Cat5 ethernet cable I had on the desk. Stripped back the insulation and folder the wire over the center hole and put it to one side of the notched out section to hold it in place. No more slop and nice and tight.

Mine showed up today. Got em installed using a little bit of Teflon tape on em.

For whoever was asking a while back -

Turns out they fit the 4wd knob prefect on my '11. Cycles between 2H, 4H, and 4L no problem.

    B9EBF3EE-6623-46F4-8BEE-31C86B3062AB_zps_dc964318ded48b1e01ace7d7b0786befedd61977.jpg

Does anyone have a single spare knob they'd be willing to part with? Or are there 2 other people on here who would be willing to split the cost of 3 more knobs?
