I never once thought these knobs would be so popular around here. I was just a guy looking to replace a knob that had been broke for about a year when I found these. thanks to @cvisinho for spreading the word out. I'm glad everyone is excited to upgrade these. wish I would have bought more then I did now. lol :goingcrazy:

Who woulda thunk a $7 mod would make the interior a bit more appealing? I get why Toyota did what they did to cut cost but cmon, just borrow stuff from other Toyota lineups and create an appealing illusion at least.

I know right. I wonder how many others have broke one and what they did about it. cause I wasn't about to spend 100+ on another control unit for a 5 dollar part.

Its more of a polished aluminum look. It does help tie in the shininess of the shift gate trim though

I did not like how mine felt a little loose.
Pulled the little clip out of the factory knobs, used a 17/64 drill bit to open up the new knobs. Stuff original clip in, no more slop.

Small needle nose pliers and pull. There is a small gap where you can reach in and grab it.

You will loose the notch to align the knob to the climate control, so make sure you clock the clip correctly when you stuff the clip in the new knob.
