    No, it's black vinyl wrap. I didn't like the chrome ring and when I cut out the notch for the light to come through it wasn't enough. So I opened it up on the horizontal, hence the "T" look. Holding up ok so far, the edges are meh as its pulling back a bit. But I like it.

    They feel a heck of a lot better than the stock ones IMHO

    They are really thick and very well made.

    On my 06, there was no metal insert in the factory knob as far as I could tell, and the the new knobs are every bit as tight on the shaft as the originals...
