Who has had issues with their climate control lights? I've seen that some have changed them out to LED's.

I changed out my stock stereo a few months ago and the lights on the climate control were out. I thought that there was a loose connection so I opened up the dash the other day and did not see anything wrong or loose. Still have the lights out and will probably replace with LED's.

I saw another thread in the 2nd gen forum where the person had problems starting the truck after issues with their climate control. This also happened to me as my truck would not start after investigating the unit. (Just clicks from the starter)

I got a jump start and drove down to get a new battery. (The old battery was probably over 5 years old) Starts fine now w/no issues. Also, the next day my left head light went out...? Not sure if this is coincidence...? Is there any relationship between the climate control unit and starting the tacoma?

Sounds like a string of coincidences??

Wait, were the lights out before you did your stereo, or did that happen after you did the deck?

Unless you shorted out the battery when doing the electrical for your climate control or stereo, I find it hard to believe you'd really do anything to the starting system.

Before switching to leds, you need to find out if you even have volatge to those light sockets, otherwise leds won't do anything. Also make sure your alternator is pumping out proper voltage, that might be your problem, too.

My climate control lights were working fine before I installed the stereo.

The battery dying and the headlight going out is weird...

Maybe you spliced a wrong wire somewhere and you have a parasitic draw. The headlight is likely a coincidence
