    Hi,
Just like the title says, Im having noise coming from turning my climate control. Noise in the way of a "window wind whine" type.

I had the blower replaced last week at Toyota, and still had the noise...they said it's a normal noise. I think they just replaced the blower under assumption instead of really listing.

I can hear it in my driveway parked and engine off. And adjusting the climate control temp, it will change pitch.

The speed of the blower motor has no effect.

    any ideas?? thanks.

What year is your truck? If 2012+ then it is your secondary injection pump or evap purge system

This may sound stupid, but same deal with my wife’s rav. I looked into it, replaced the cabin air filter, and noise gone! The cabin air filter was filthy. Maybe worth a look.

    Thanks,
I did clean the filter out, same noise. I'll try replacing it.

Mine is making a sound as well. The length the whine lasts depends on how great the change is. If I go from all the way left (cold) to all the way right (hot) it is a long whine. If I make a small adjustment (one increment) it is very short. What is the issue here? Thank you!

I'm on my 3rd blower motor...so its not that.

I've been told it's the normal noise cause by the shape of the duct work.

    Sorry not much help.

That's the blend door actuator moving the door from COLD to HOT and back again, it's gear driven as most actuators for A/C systems are.

Is this common or an indication of imminent failure?

Obviously, the older manual cable-driven door activators were the most reliable. The modern gear-driven doors will eventually fail due to electronic / motor/ gear fatigue.
