My 09 has a vibration from the climate control/ radio surround when the weather gets cooler that is just driving me nuts. I think I can correct it easily enough with some carefully placed silicone, but I am not quite sure how to disassemble that stuff without breaking or marring anything. It looks to me like it is probably clipped in and should just pull out. Anyone pulled this apart on a Gen 2 for a radio installation or something?

The climate controls pop out of the dash with a little work. This is the first step, use a small slotted screwdriver with a taped end. This will prevent damage when you are prying a little. Just carefully pop it out, might take a little bit to get the hang of it.

Once out, you'll see two 10mm bolts holding the radio in. Theres two more a little deeper behind them as well, you'll need an extension on a socket to get them.

    Good luck with your rattle.

One thing i had to do was... take the middle knob off by pulling out on it. Then you can stick something behind the controls and it will pop out.
