Yeah, it would be neat to see the numbers. But - if you actually came to a 'teetering' situation, would the clinometer still be reading? You'd probably be totally maxing out the meter itself. Gawd forbid they design something that promotes it. :D

And actually, the ass-meter gets less sensitive everytime you use it. The farther you go with the ass-meter, it automatically remembers that spot and lets you go further every time - untill, you actually do flop. Never trust your ass! (laugh)

i have an fj one in my truck now-it is a total pain in the ass to make it work in a tacoma, and i mean a TOTAL pain to make everything work correctly.

i also had an older 4runner one in my last bodystyle tacoma too, it is much easier to hook up-just power and ground. i would recommend just getting one from an 85-88 4runner, unless you got big ol' nuts, or a thick wallet to make the fj one work.

I have heard that those guages cause more trouble than they are worth. Guys will get one installed and go find the biggest hill or rock and head on up. But what they do is stare at that damn gauge not looking where they are going and next thing you know they are pinned against a tree on a 80 degree slope or worse, they are upside down at the bottom of the hill

    80 degree...?!
i don't think so, try a true-blue 45 degree situation and let me know how it goes.

Nothing worse than focusing on the meter as you roll over!

Just go with the butt pucker method.

ive been teetering before...come close to flopping 3 times so far...i have NO idea what the "official" meter said...but i could taste the upholstery from my seats...

I know mine would still be reading as it goes to like 40* on either side...and theres no way i could safely drive tilted at 40*

I know ive gotten it to just at the 25* mark on both sides and felt more unstable than i want to be...
