Usually the problems with these clocks are the connections. Corrupted connectors, frayed wires, or broken/cold solder joints. It's a terrible place for a clock, but at least there is one. Haha. Good you got it working, mine hasn't given me trouble yet.

That's why I'm making mine into a voltmeter, I can't even see past the steering wheel to see it so meh, at least it will be something useful when I lean over to look at it.

    nothing at all
Dont care for the clock much, i would like to see if anyone has put any thing else it it's place. Like remove the whole clock, put in a couple auxillary switches, or a phone mount, or something.

I have never seen a dumber place for a clock. What were they thinking? Maybe they forgot these trucks need a steering wheel when they designed the dash? Geeezze Toyota............

My clock location will end up being winch controls: a toggle switch to enable, a push buttons for in, and a push button for out.

I've always liked the little clock down there. I'm surprised how often I use it.

95-00 steering wheels were different and allowed you to see the clock from the driver's position

the 01-04 had a double connector steering wheel that blocked the view

the 01-04 inherited the 99-02 4Runner steering wheel but unlike the Tacoma the 4Runner had a center mounted clock in all models

I cant get my clock to work. Seems as though I have short in the wire somewhere or the connector. It will light up but as soon as I put it back together it goes out...

I put a volt-meter there long ago. My aftermarket radio has a clock. Now, if I can just figure out how to set the damn thing...

I have the '95-'00 style steering wheel and I still can't see the damn clock. The wiper control stalk is in the way. I would look at my touchscreen radio for the time but the location of the radio is so damn low the sun puts a glare on it and I can't see that either!

    The Bed is stock...ish

If you get the 01-04 Tacoma stalks that are up higher you will be able to see the clock
