    Friday!

It's a weep hole (or drain hole) not a 'peep' hole.

Maybe if you use a 2" hole saw. But how will a discreet increase in size be detected when it's under the bolted down mat?

Be creative and do your security another way, not involving the 'peep hole'.

BTW. There will be times you want to remove the mat. So make your security reasonable for you to work with.

And the way the mat lays, it actually protects the weep holes from debris a bit, so leaves in the bed aren't much of a problem.

Oh. People steal the spares? So you drill a hole and put it in the spare? That sounds like a good idea I never thought of.

I have to ask why do you need a bed mat in a fiberglass bed? If you are afraid of getting it scratch why do you have a truck?

You know towards the back of the bed there are 2 D-rings on each side? Drill a hole in the bed mat and use 5 (or more) thick metal zip ties to tie it to the bed D-rings. Most assholes would probably move on if they saw that.

Totally a Friday post, but I’ll play along. Nah bro, you drill the hole above the spare so they can’t get to the bolt unless they drop the spare. In which case they either ignore your bed-mat because it’s too much trouble, or they take your spare also FOR the trouble.

Have you ever put anything in your truck bed? Without a mat the bed is as slick as ice.
As far as theft goes in the 15 years I have been driving pickup trucks no one has ever stolen the mat from my bed. Tailgate, tires (including spare), and cat are the big steal items.

Took 1 time of my tool box banging around back there like a couple of hockey players before I bought a bed mat

Well I bought a truck to haul things so I guess the answer is yes. I my storage compartments are ratchet straps because I haul things lots of strange things. Toyota in their infinite wisdom did not put tie downs in the front I did. Mounted to a heavy aluminum plate on the back side nothing moves. Mine is also an access cab so it has a bigger bed to haul more things. We at least the Toyota bed won't rot can't remember how many metal truck beds I have seen rotted through from trapped water under a bed mat.

Do not and I repeat do not poke anything sharp or drill on the driver side drain hole! The gas fill line is directly underneath it. You could end up like me…

Yeah, everyone runs a ratchet strap every time they bring their gas can to the gas station.

You argue about the benefits of a fiberglass bed, then try and argue how bad bed mats are because metal beds rusted from them.

maybe try listening to what folks said

That is a good idea. But then you can't use the D ring for what it was made for.
