Not nearly as bad as some of you have said it to be. The hole saw was by far the worst buy was not bad at all. I have had a lit worse experiences with them then this one. Just do your self a favor and buy a new one if you dobt have one and while your there get a step bit. It looks like a christmas tree and is worth its weight in gold drilling in thin metal. Also do drill the holes out to 5/8 like it says and not 1/2 like i tried. It will not line up to well. Also @dan0mite can you post up a close up of the the front of your snorkel where it meets the body, does it have a gap there more then everywhere else?

And for the others i taljed to before.

The volant intake will not fit with this.... Yoy would have to heavily modify the box or your inner fender to work. :annoyed::frusty::pout:

That does not mean i will not try because i liked the sound but just a heads up.

A lot of what you see in the pic is shadow but there is a bit of gap on top which seems to get smaller as you move from front to back; however, if you look in the gap you can see the snorkel right against the fender all the way. From below and behind, there is no gap. Let me know if you want pics of something else for comparison.

Ill get simular pictures of mine for comparison. Mine looks like it might have more of a gap then yours wich i am thining its combination of the holes not being big enough to fit it freely and or the large hole is not big enough. My ocd my cause me to pull apart and see whats up or just silicone it.

The hole saw is 4.5 and the smaller holes to bolt it to the fender is 5/8. Go and buy a step bit for the 5/8 its about the only way you can drill a hole in the fender with out screwing things up. And yes its is a 5/8 hole. for the mounting bracket to the fender you will need a 5/16 drill bit. The step bit will not fit in the pilar to drill this one so you will have to get a normal bit. And you will also need a cwnter punch to dent a hole in and it wouldnt be a bad idea to grab a 1/8 bit to start pilot holes.

Well my UPS guy showed up at 2 today instead of 4:30 so I missed him. I'll get another shot at getting it delivered and installed tomorrow.

I can confirm 4.5in hole saw. I started at 1/2in smaller holes and it worked with that, slid in like a glove!
