Anyone have any info on the weight difference between the steel and aluminum? So far all I can find is some pieced together shipping information that says the steel rack is 100lbs~ and the aluminum is 25lbs~. I'm trying to decide if the weight difference is worth the price.

Oh, and count me in :headbang:

For what it's worth this GB for the pack rack is steel only... if you're still in I'll add you to the list!

So for anyone comparing the Voodoo against the Apex modular consider the night and day build differences:

The Voodoo rack only has 2 main braces and uses 14 gauge steel

    upload_2017-1-31_9-3-49.jpg

The AllPro Apex Modular has 3 supports and is made of 12 gauge steel

    upload_2017-1-31_9-4-28.jpg

Yes you will save $300 if you go the Voodoo route and perhaps that is adequate but if you are like me and want to not only have the option to put the RTT on top along with Rotopax and other recovery gear you want something that is really solid. In my opinion you get what you pay for here.

    Anyway....shameless bump...

The Voodoo rack doesn't distribute the weight on the bed side either. It only attaches at the two points on each side.

Man that is even worse. I see the Apex Modular has a full steel rail the length of the bed. Definitely a much "beefier" product regardless. Thanks for pointing that out.

    You are not alone!

Chad's got some great products marketed to specific applications. If you want to load up a bunch of weight then the AP rack is definitely the way to go.

Gotta agree with you on that. It definitely is more appealing IMO

Assuming that this GB is going to make... add the gear rack and accessory bar pair (rotopax & hi lift) to my order, please?

Super stoked and fingers crossed for hitting the 20!!

Thanks @mtnlobo1. Once we get to 18 or 19 commits I'll begin sending out PMs requesting email and shipping info and double checking what everyone wants so we can get some custom invoices. Since this GB is taking a while to fulfill there's a high chance that some of us my want to change up or add to our order.

We're nearing the home stretch though, and thanks to you and everyone for sticking around! I know it's not easy to wait a few months for something you really want all in the name of saving a few bucks. It's worth it though!
