Id try adjustable wrench to bend back with a decent size pair u will have good leverage and shouldnt leave much of a mark

    Edit
Also i wouldnt worry about "weakining" the weld. If the weld was weak then it would have snapped insted of the metal bending. All pro is a class A fab shop and I definitely wouldnt worry about the weald weakining from bending that back out. Now if u have to get heat involved ( torch ) it may slightly weaken that piece of metal but i highly doubt it would weaking it enough to even come close to causing failure.

True, thanks guys. Adjustable crescent worked fine. Can't wait to powder coat!

How are you guys mounting the topper rails to the rack rails? Cutting notches in the AP rail for the topper rail clamps?

Mine aren't... I could have used the clamps that came with my softopper to clamp onto the bottom of the track channel, but my bed light LEDs would have been crushed. I wound up notching the pack rack rail with a plasma cutter.

Been a busy weekend so far but I've got mine together... now I get to take it all off again for paint. I'm trying to decide if I like having the modular basket on this rack or if I should go a different route.

First I need to source a new u-bolt to replace the one that broke on my swing out latch!

Hmm I just realized that once the bed rack is on you won't be able to fold the softoppers? How's the installation of the toppers once the bed rack in on?

Installation of the softopper isn't too bad, you have to open it up before putting it on the pivot pins, and once it's opened up you set it on the pins and secure the lock rings. The only thing that sucks about it is you have to be in the bed crouched under the topper to do this, so if you're a bigger person it's not fun. Me, I just need to lay off the beer for a while and it'll be a bit easier going forward lol

Thanks! I haven't mounted it yet but am testing to see how it will fit and function. I'm also not sure if I'm a fan of the polished look of it. Here's a few more pics with the softopper on underneath in case anyone else is thinking of trying this out.

Just back from powder coating and am super stoked! InSain Fabrication did a fantastic job with the weld-up, hoop mod and added tab connectors too... great work AND price! Thanks to Corey and his crew!

Will install the gear rack after the softtopper and RTT!

I just welded my rack together tonight. Went together super easy. The only problem is that there are no cut outs for the clamps that hold the Softopper on. I'll have to cut them out before being painted.

That's what I did too. However, if you don't have led strip lights under your truck bed rail tracks like I do, you should be able to open up the topper rail brackets all the way and fit them over the bottom of the pack rack rail and truck bed track. Hope that helps!

Anyone know where to find instructions for the 16+ Apex Modular Rack? I am trying to install mine but I can't find instructions anywhere.
