Yep. URD kit with Walbro pump. When I originally was having issues, I even dropped the tank again and checked the pump to make sure the hoses weren't kinked or something. No issues with fuel delivery.

I now have a URD fuel rail tap and another Speedhut gauge for fuel pressure. Solid 43 psi fuel pressure in all conditions.

I'm sure it's possible in one way or another. If you have a way to manipulate the file and spoof the download URL that the update agent uses, you could probably pull off whatever you want. But that stuff is over my head. I can build PCs all day long and do a lot with hardware. Coding, Internet protocol and server administration is out of my wheelhouse.

Lol I know man! I take a lot of pride in my vehicles, and when I have the opportunity I will use them as they're intended! I understand what you mean about being busy... I've taken my 4wd off road maybe three times since I've owned her. :(

It's tempting! Maybe sometime 1Q 2017 if I can swing it...

    LOL. :p

I wonder if something like Snoop would be beneficial here. I never thought about a leak somewhere along the intake...

To clear up the confusion on the two different kits is the kits are slightly different.

The TRD Supercharger kit has a few different items comparative to the Magnuson supercharger kit which in turn makes the tuning slightly different for both units. The normal BD system (40417) can be used with a Tacoma/FJ Cruiser with the TRD S/C kit installed and the ECU flash from Toyota being completed. The S/C tune on the 40417 can be used in conjunction with that setup.

The Magnuson S/C kit does have a few slight variances to the kit and requires the 40480 kit from BullyDog. This tune is specific to the Magnuson S/C kit and the tune is proprietary to Magnuson and BullyDog. I have seen a few customers ask BD for that proprietary tune and a few have had success. It all depends on who you ask and how you ask as this is confidential items between the different tunes.

Add me to the list of successful installations (so far no issues after a test drive last night). Like everyone else with a winch bumper I had to get creative with the pump mount but luckily the kit came with enough parts and hose for me to reverse engineer a solution for my specific setup. It sucks I had to pull out all of my auxiliary electronics for the coolant reservoir but oh well I'll rig them up somewhere else later. No leaks and no smells of fuel under the hood so I guess so far so good.
    :fingerscrossed::fingerscrossed::fingerscrossed::fingerscrossed::fingerscrossed::fingerscrossed::fingerscrossed:

A tip for y'all not used to following instructions in the format that Magnuson provides... be sure to read torque settings fully... don't mistake inch pounds for foot pounds or you'll break off bolts in your block like this idiot did. :smack:

My tune seems to be working great, and that SC whine is music to my ears. Used the regular Tacoma SC tune, haven't upgraded the pulley or fuel pump yet but will sometime next year.

Edit: the bully dog SD card file name was wrong in my kit as well. It was a simple fix as mentioned earlier in the thread. Another tip with the bully dog stuff... don't tear open the packaging and grab the tuner and the box containing all the goodies and think that's it. I was looking all over my office to see if the SD card fell out somewhere, but it was in a small paper envelope glued inside the packaging. I was expecting everything to be in the box but that was not the case. Take your time and look at all the goodies both bully dog and Magnuson, instead of rushing through things like I did.

 Congrats on a successful install.

On the torques - I noticed that quirk in the install. I always check against the N*m torque spec since not everyone that writes instructions understands unit conversions :anonymous:. The Toyota FSM has a lot of torque errors. Checking that the values match across units provides an extra check when you're dealing with critical torque values.

I think it was only the water manifold bolts that showed 80 inch pounds... maybe one other thing but the water manifold was where I eff'd up. Stupid mistake and I was damn lucky that the bolt broke outside of the block and I was able to grab it with some pliers. It wouldn't have happened if I would have slowed down and taken the time to pay full attention instead of making assumptions.

@tacomavoyager, if you are asking me... I am running the K&N that came with the kit. I got the MAF sensor error once, about a week ago. I trying not to hit any boost to see if the ECU will actually relearn the fuel trims.

Forgot all about that CARB sticker. I only filled it out because Al Gore won't rest until every state is Commiefornia. And then when that happens I'll be scrambling for one.

I would not be a bit surprised if the K&N filter is causing the trouble with MAF errors. Even when they are properly oiled they release oil particles into the intake - especially when "fresh".

Oiled filters are great for dirt bikes with a carb - for modern vehicles not so much. JMHO.

I installed an AFE Pro Dry at install - so far no codes :fingerscrossed:

I also installed the afe pro dry drop in filter after the "mysterious" problems with the other intake/ bd tuner. I'm hoping all goes well from here on out.

Once you provided all the details it was not that mysterious. :hattip:

As I recall - not only did you have a CAI, you also added a 2.85 pulley and have a cat-back exhaust. Individually no single one of those components would cause a lean condition, but add the three together, you overwhelmed the injectors/fuel pump and went too lean on the mixture.
