Almost wholesale theft, @WOODEX M.E., but you know what they say: imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

I almost pulled the trigger on Tanabe gauges though. Those are sweet

Twig and berries froze off last night working on this.

    Excellent. Thanks man.

Is that dimming I see!? Im glad you finally got those hooked up and the way you wanted.

Also, i think the information on these gauges over the past couple years is the most productive information i have provided to our community.

I wish! I just left the gauges hooked to the green wire. I have a lot to do today so I'll fiddle with the dimmer tonight or tomorrow.

This was an unpleasant surprise though: the steering wheel rubs against the gauges. Did you have this issue?

@Biscuits yeah looks like you need to flip the pods. The flex pod is a little strange. The recessed holes are odd.
The gauges should be flush with the front of the mount not sticking in front. That's why they are rubbing.

This might be something to ask the Toyota dealer. I'm going to get the TRD tune, I'm just comparing the BD tune to the stock tune. I'm going to go back and look for the right tune and see if that matches what the dealer recommends.

I noticed that your gauge is about 14.7-14.8 which it should be. Glad to see it functioning like it should. Mine is now almost always 14.3-14.5. Probably bacause of all the stuff ive messed with like the headers and fpr mod and intake and such. Or at least thats what i hope. Ive got about 65k on that sensor and wonder if its time to replace or not.

So far both gauges are working properly, and almost nothing has indicated any operational issues with my Tacoma. I did notice that my fuel briefly cut out when I was WOT once. Truck lagged and the AFR dropped to zero, but the time duration was no more than a blip. Need to keep an eye on that; maybe look at the filter this week and go from there. When my fuel pressure gauge arrives, hopefully I'll find out more as I'll be able to keep an eagle eye on any potential fuel issues.

I did get up to 9psi of boost though, so that was nice. :D

What's the allowable drift before these sensors require replacement? At least they're not too expensive; I think $65-$70 IIRC...

Did you just run the vacuum hose from the boost port to the fuel pressure regulator?

I didn't have time yesterday to look for the wiring behind the dash because I had some company over. But I did pop off my shifter bezel and try the wires going to the PRNDL bulb and dimming works great. So if you have trouble finding the wires elsewhere you could always run the gauge wires over to the PRNDL bulb.

Just quick question. Today I found that you can borrow for free tools for pulley swap in any auto zone, o'Reilly, advanced.... just wondering why no one mentioned that before...

I've heard that mentioned before, not sure if it was in here or elsewhere. But yeah, just like with their OBDII scanners...you just put down your credit card deposit and take the tool, return it unscathed and you get your deposit back. At least that's how it worked for me last time I had to use their scanner, but that was probably 12 years ago.
