Yes, I upgraded my pump a week or two before the SC install.

Guys it's only 150 for the pump, for sure do it. My fj is an 07 with 90k and that pump caused me to be lean was running 15 to 16 most of the time in boost unless I hammered it then went to 11 or 12 during wot. It's like a whole new vehicle quick as fuck! Easily to break the big Mtrs loose. Interesting to see what more the ucon brings out.

I believe the upgrade would relocate the fuel filter externally, making it easier to change later on.

The sock filter inside the tank is still there. Just another filter outside the tank

Ah...I stand corrected. Can you remove the sock filter and just have the external filter?

Then you have nothing protecting the pump from debris in the tank.

    MY PROBLEM IS FIXED!!!!!

Ok, here's my setup and what it took to fix it:

    2014 truck
    SC with 2.85 pulley
    Stock airbox
    AFE dry filter
stock fuel pump (although I have a URD setup that I'm going to install just to be safe)
    stock exhaust.

My truck was running stoic a lot then hittting a lean spot (into the 16's!) at around 3k rpms. Then it would eventually dip down into the 12's or so.

I emailed Dan at Magnuson and was polite and patient with him. We went back and forth a bit emailing info etc. He talked to their tech guys and then he sent my info to BD. BD emailed me and scheduled a call. The BD guy had me uninstall the tune. (I had installed the 2.85 tune with stock shift points) That is all we did, just uninstall it. I test drove it and bam, it runs like it should! No lean condition. It dips down into the 10's-12's easily when required.
From a dead stop, it'll smoke the tire thru 2nd gear! (When I remember to turn traction control off....)

Hopefully this will help some of you guys.

Wow I am glad to hear that fixed your issue but it's kind of crazy to think no tune is running better than with the tune? Unless there was a bug with the bully dog and it works reserve of how it says (install tune = stock?:D)

I asked him about that. He said there is a "stock" tune that is meant for the sc.

Now, does that mean, "stock", is similar to the dealer SC flash??
