Fortunately, my wife and I are very supportive of one another. We have our financial situation set up in a way that we have our joint accounts but we each have our own discretionary funds. I came home late one day with a Tacoma when I had left with a 550i. She just, snickered and said "You only made it 8 months this time." She knows me very well.

Me - "I think I'm going to order a supercharger for the truck"

Wife - "That's funny, you drive it like a grandpa, god only knows why you would want that! How much are those?"

Me - "It'll give the truck more power for when we get our Airstream. The normal price is $6,000"

    Wife - "Ouch"

Me - "Well, right now they're on sale for $5,000 and there is a group buy on TW for an additional 20% off. So $4,000. Basically $2,000 off"

Wife - "Wow, that sounds like a really good deal! You should do it."

Full blessing + 0% apr Citi card = supercharger

Technically the fit kit, which TRD sold separately from the charger though still required, but under Magnuson they are bundled together as one package.

So I see Magnuson will soon have them back to $6000, but what about the other vendors who are currently at 5k? Shouldn't there's remain at that price or will they too go back to 6k?

I haven't heard/seen anything about them going back up to 6k. But if they are now is the perfect time to buy one.

    Lol.

Even if you do end up doing it yourself you can always split it and let them just do like the fuel pump. When it comes to the pulley that's a cake walk, especially with the s/c off.
