Yeah, I'm going to pay some bills then look at exhaust. The long tubes make me  through.

How reliable are the O2 simulators? I've read that people have had mixed results with check engine lights. I would be all over a set of long tubes if there were a reliable solution for O2 simulators.

I think "IGNORE THIS BOX" would be more subtle.

    Lol

I had DT mid-length headers on my Silverado and liked them. Quality stuff too. I'm likely going to piss the wife off and buy the Spec U headers for the simple fact that there is minimal loss of low end power. What's been holding me back is...

...dis right hurr. Need to do more research.

Yep. Multiple threads on TW about how even with the URD O2 sim, owner still experiencing random catalyst inefficiency codes and O2 slow response codes.

The only way is to either find a better O2 sim or go with shorty headers with OE cats welded on. Having the OE cats sort of defeats the purpose, IMO. The shorties will add some power according to the dynos I've seen, but I'd rather do away with the front cats and have long tubes if there's any way to make that happen without CEL issues popping up all the time.

    2012-2015 problems...

    Mine usually comes quick :rimshot:
I paid the first day the invoices went out, so I was probably in the top 5 or 10 paid. I would assume its based on invoice too. Mine shipped last Thursday and since I am in VA and he is SC, it didn't have far to go.

I paid within a few minutes of seeing the invoice. Mine came a lot sooner than I thought it would. I think some of the later invoices are coming later because Tim said he was only shipping out around 10 kits per day to not overload the FedEx guy.

I'm still waiting on gauges from Speedhut, but I'll probably install this weekend anyway. I can check AFR readings from the LC-2 through the laptop.

I'm aware of that. In fact, I've done it before. Not on a Tacoma, but on other vehicles. With an aftermarket high flow cat, there is still a risk of a P0420/P0430. Higher flow cats (just like higher flowing air filters) generally means more stuff gets through. More stuff getting through means the possibility of the ECM not seeing enough difference between what goes in and what comes out (P0420/P0430). The newer trucks are a little pickier. I'm not ready to be the guinea pig.

Do you have aftermarket cats on your 2012?

An install write up mentioned needing 2 gallons for the new SC components along with reusing your existing coolant if it's not too old. I'm replacing my existing coolant. The stock system holds about 2.5 gallons as mentioned earlier in the thread, so I'm going to buy 5 gallons to be sure I have enough for the install. Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong there.

Wow 5 gallons of coolant? That doesn't sound right, but I may be missing something.

I was told two gallons would be sufficient so that's what I bought :notsure: I got the pre mixed stuff.

I haven't put it all in yet. Just picked everything up a few months ago. I've had the SC on the truck a long time with 0 issues.

2 gallons is sufficient if you're reusing the coolant you drain from the radiator during SC install. If you're discarding the old coolant instead of reusing it you'll have to get another 2.5 gallons of new juice to replace it. That's the way I understand it anyhow, but I could be wrong. I don't see how just the SC coolant system can use the full 2 gallons that's called for during install. I bet 4 gallons total could do the whole shebang but I'm going to play it safe.

supercharger friends, i have a fusebox installed where the intercooler reservoir is supposed to go so i'm looking for a solution where i can keep the fusebox in the same location after installing the reservoir.

my setup is similar, but not as nice, as what Pelfreybilt offers: http://www.pelfreybilt.com/product/fuse-panel-manual/

maybe mount the reservoir to the fuse panel holder? install the reservoir in the alternate location? has anyone worked through this issue?
