There are a few reasons but most of it has to do with cost.

    1) You wouldn't believe how many people would email me asking which crossbar they should use with their wind deflector when I sent out all black ones. Adding in a clear anodized one is a good way to make that more obvious.

    2) I try keep the value of my rack as high as possible while keeping the cost as low as possible. Since the bar holding the wind deflector isn't visible, its a good way to save some money without altering the look or function of the rack.

    3) Over time my cost of these racks has varied greatly and even increased. In the beginning I didn't provide tie down nuts, the wind deflectors were made from HDPE, hardware was normal zinc vs black zinc, phillips vs torx heads, and I wasn't providing a edge trim for the wind deflector. All those things add up but I didn't want to increase the cost of the racks. Granted over time, my buying power has increased and my costs have started to come down but any way I can keep your costs the same while offering you more is a win in my book.

Hey Zach or anyone else who wishes to answer

When the order is ready to ship do you send an email with a tracking number? This is just a curiosity I'm happy and content lol. :)

Edit: nevermind. I read and saw the answer is yes. Sorry to waste any time.

After having it since Friday and having to go out of town for a wedding this weekend, I finally got it on the truck.

It's still gotta come down cause I didn't get to the weather stripping today and I want to add thread locker to everything, and paint my DIY fab'd light bar brackets.

Really wanted to wash my truck before photos but too tired today and couldn't wait to share... this pollen is horrible both for my sinuses and my truck.
Also have my Toprac sitting in the garage but that wont happen for a while.

Not doing that at all. Pretty certain he already has his process.
I understand though, compliments are rare sometimes.

I just found out today that one I shipped overseas to an APO has been somewhere between New Jersey and Germany for over a month. USPS never fails to disappoint.
