Wondering if Home Depot or Lowe's would have something that would work?

Has anyone ever modified their non cutout wind deflector to a cutout deflector so you can use a light bar?

When I ordered mine it wouldnt let me select the cutout deflector so I ordered the regular one and sent a note along that I wanted a cutout deflector.

That was probably overlooked, no big deal.

I don't have a lightbar yet, so thought I would run it as is and then maybe modify down the road.

No- and harbor freight only goes up to 1/2. That being said seems like most people using drill bit method are using spade bits. I have a step bit I'm going to dry that I can't imagine will cause a mess. I'll update whenever I use it.

Any of you guys know of any good universal light bar bracket mounts? I purchased a 40" from The Retrofit Source, but the brackets they came with are not long enough to mount to the wind deflector nor the first crossbar.

Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
i'm pretty sure i ended up using a hole saw bit from a kit for a door. the smaller diameter one for the latch.

Hey! I have the same bar. What I did was grab a strip of 1/8 inch aluminum from Lowes, cut off 2 pieces about 2 inches in length, and bent them at about 120 degrees with a vice and a rubber mallet. I then drilled 2 holes each, for the bar and for the light.

It's really hard to explain, remind me tomorrow and I'll snap some pics of my setup. It came out really clean and it's sturdy and flush

Do you have the 27" or the 40"? What do you like/dislike about it?

I have the 40" XTORCH. I love the look. It doesn't look like a cheap bar, or the 1000 other bars out there. It's weatherproof and sealed extremely well. Only thing I don't like about it is the brackets it comes with. You'll have to make your own "mounting tabs" like I did to make it work in this application

Yup! Was cutting into the thing within 5 mins of receiving it. Nothing a ban saw and cutting wheel can't handle.
