the guy said that piece fits his TRD CAI. Just don't use that elephant pecker piece that the TRD kit came with.

What is the Dia of that flexible tube? HPS also offer's aluminum tube by the foot. Might be able to get the same tube from from an exhaust shop, and HPS also has elbows

The TRD outlet is a different size from what I understand. That's why I bought this silicone piece.

The piece I got is the same size both ends, so time will tell. The TRD kit comes with a flared end sleeve. Just use the silicone sleeve instead of that flared end piece

Wood stove in my shop. Good place to burn junk mail in.

The flare is removable. I thought I could use that, and took it off and cut it. Didnt work.

Did my install today and used a hole saw with no problems. I put primer on the ends of the studs to mark the taped fender instead of using the Airflow template. Some of the studs matched the template dimensions and some were out as much as 3/8". I cut out the inner fender brace with a dremel and tin snips. Used the snips to also make a cut in the stock inner fender hole for the intake and then took some pliers to bend the sheet metal out to widen the hole. That was a necessary step after a bit of cursing trying to fit the elbow on the stock intake tube. Of course that pain in the ass top rear stud is a pain in the ass no matter what. I didn't remove the fender or even loosen any of the fender bolts, but I did tape a long 3/8 extension to an open ended 10mm wrench so I could crank down on it easier.

RIP to the A-pillar bracket bolt that I dropped and slid down my A-piller then into the void between the inner fender and windshield cowl (I have CBI ditch light brackets so the cowl is cut there). I poked around in there with a magnet but I'm afraid it's not gonna come back across enemy lines. Luckily I had another bolt damn near identical to the one included in the kit.

I need some fender flare clips and then this sumbitch can get put back together. In case anyone is still looking for black hose clamps for their pre-cleaners I got mine here:

This GB has been a fun interesting journey to say the least.

That fucking rear top stud.... I was near the end of my rope and day at that point and ended up epoxying that thing in place from the inside with the hood up through the gap. Feels solid and should hold for now, but I don't feel great about the decision. Oh well.

It's a MF'er for sure. I got mine where it started to get snug, but not all the way tight. I started off by screwing the stud into the snorkel further than the rest so I wouldn't have to worry about tightening it as much. I then put the snorkel up to the truck so just a few threads were through the fender and put some RTV on a washer to get it to stick to the inner fender while I maneuvered the nut into place. I wish I had the RTV idea a bit sooner I must have dropped that damn washer 4 or 5 times before I said F it this aint working lol

I started taking the fender flare and inner fender well apart when I double checked the instructions and realized I didn't have that crap and was supposed to pick some up before starting the install. Whoops...

I meant to comment earlier that I can't tell a difference in the way my truck performs since adding the snorkel. The supercharger seems to breathe the same and MPGs are still just as terrible as they were before, but who cares about that.

Great fuel economy is for the unadventurous.
