Nice. Was it much lighter than your previous set up?

Not too sure for the 3rd gens but @luka made a good point when I told him the same thing. The added thickness may prevent the fat from closing and hit your rubber bumper prematurely.

No it's heavier than the stock plastics. I added the ez down with the skin since I knew there would be added weight.

Yeah this is less weight than his previous skin. But since both of his ez down struts are old and worn he still has both of them. But did say that once he gets a new one would probably run only one.

I see your tailgate cable gets bent/pinched. I thought it was just me. EZ Down problems. It pinches the tailgate cable and sometimes sticks out. I have to position the cable to be on the outside of the EZ Down so it doesn't strip away the rubber coating. It often wants to go on the inside and I'm concerned that the cable is losing it's integrity.

I ditched the cable on my previous truck with the ez down because it got shredded.

Also, I'll keep in mind that issue with the rubber bump stop. Maybe I'll drill a hole to clear that? I like how the new skin looks but i can beat on the plastic one as much as i like and not have to worry about how it looks.

I am getting the shipping set up now for the sliders. Assuming the logistics company we use gets back to me quickly, we should be getting the sliders dropped off to be on their way Wednesday/Thursday. I should have a cost shortly and will send invoices to be paid once I do. Once all shipping is paid, they will be dropped off.

Which one of you would like to pick them up and hold them for the rest?

They're going to be in an enclosed wood crate that can easily be opened with screws. The crate dimensions will be no more than 40" wide so it fits between fenders of the Tacoma. Length will be approx 86", height is not determined yet, still building the crate. We are estimating weight to be around 800lbs. So the crate will fit in the bed of a truck with the tailgate down, bring a strap or two.

Quote came back for sliders. Shipping is $300 per person. I can send invoices later tonight.

EDIT: Hold on the price. I just got in touch with another shipper and got a much better price. I will have a better number tomorrow once the crate is completely done. Should come down about $50 a person.

I can be the designee to pick up the crate if no one has an issue with it. Let me know.

For the Hawaiian guys who ordered, I'm located on Red Hill.

The latest quote I got was just under $1000 for the four sets of sliders but she told me it should be less once I call with accurate dimensions. I told her I should be able to get the crate somewhat smaller. I'll know tomorrow once the crate is 100% done and I can send her the weights and dimensions.

No, 4. Two never paid. One I never heard back from, one there was miscommunication and he never ordered them so I am running his separate and will ship later.
