Received my Avid light bar yesterday! Great quality.

Question on install......do you just remove the four nuts and slide the light bar onto the bolts replacing the nut or do you need to remove the complete bolt and then install the light bar? Attached are a couple pictures. Please let me know.

Can you please move this GB thread back into the Avid section? The GB is over but we would still like to keep the thread open until all orders have been filled.
    Thank you

Perfect.. You did it correctly. You don't need to remove that stud completely.. just the nuts.

Wow.. yeah that UPS guy must hate his job.

We package the powder coated stuff with a lot more cardboard and packaging. We don't have issues with powder coat getting scuffed or scratched very often but it is a lot safer to coat them after they've gone through shipping. We do the best we can but can't control it after it leaves our shop and is in the hands of an angry UPS worker.

You weren't kidding that's a lot more packaging. My wife said our UPS guy was extremely gentle with it. Didn't even unload it until he asked her where she wanted it.

Yeah send me an email.. we'll take care of it.
I think we'll just start leaving those tabs off. We don't add them on the 2nd gen bumper guards. I thought it would just be some extra support for the 3rd. But we only weld the outside because a weld on the inside interferes with the cross member and that tab sticks out from the bar making it a vulnerable place to get hit through shipping. We'll start leaving them off.
We've learned a lot and made a bunch of changes with getting these first ones out through this group buy. So thanks for the feedback and I apologize for the couple issues that have come up... I hope the big discount is worth it. :)

So what's the secret to getting the bottom bolt back ON? I'm laying here having a real whale of a time moving it incrementally.

Looks good! Been sitting on it waiting for some good weather to install.

Anyone have any recommendations for a good paint to use to patch a couple of very minor places the powder coat rubbed through? You can't even see it unless you know what you are looking for, I am just trying to prevent rust.

Post up pics in the 3rd gen lightbar thread I linked in the Avid section please.

As for the paint id say use the rustoleum bed liner spray. It's textured like the PC, I use it on my sliders.

I saw that further down in my notifications!

That rustoleum bed spray lays on really nice as well. I was using just normal rustoleum for awhile on my sliders but since going to the spray liner its been alot more durable. I dont think ill have to touch up as frequently. When you dont run flaps mud, snow and sand will blast them clean.
