What rope is best for our trucks? 3/4 or 7/8? I've read that having too much breaking strength can make any rope act like a tow strap. Any thoughts?

Idk I haven't researched it too much but given the fact you can basically get a running start when pulling with these, I don't think it would be an issue. I'm going with the 7/8". Now you have me thinking if it's overkill.

 

I'm in for a 3/4 by 30 and a shackle. My buddy is still deciding what he wants so I will post again with whatever he decides. I won't be able to pay till the day after this closes though, wil that be an issue?

 

I have the 7/8 x 30' and it's amazing. I'd defiantly say our trucks have enough weight to properly load the rope. First time I used it was to pull me brother in law out when we he was stuck in the dunes. He drives a very loaded down Land Rover and you could hardly feel the "slam" when the rope was loaded opposed to using a tow rope or even with the snatch straps. I also really like the 30' length. The rope seems way shorter when you're out using it and the extra 10' is nice to separate you and the vehicle and shackles you're loading up with ~30,000lbs or kinetic energy!

 

I'm sure their is no love for your northern neighbors? Good deal tho!

Therefore the vendor had to send your info to them.
