    @Russtoy
    for the warn power interrupter.
from the rocker switch. do you just have to wire up the 18 gauge wire that comes in the kit to the switch? seems like a pretty simple setup!
just trying to figure out how this wires up to the switch.

Yes sir...run the yellow to the switch inside the cab, then run power to the switch and ground it. Very very easy to do. You don't have anything to worry about...the kit comes with directions which are very easy to follow...it has both text and pictures. Heck I just looked up the directions...here's the part your asking about....

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    "...
    1. Route the yellow wire from the switch location through the fire wall to the Power Interrupt solenoid. Protect the wire where it passes through the fire wall by routing it through a grommet or similar protective device. Route the spade connector through the switch bracket and plate and
push onto the #1 Power Interrupt switch terminal. Slip a small rubber wire boot over the wire eyelet and secure the eyelet to the small, right side post of the solenoid with the outer nut and lock washer from the post. Tighten the nut and push the boot over the solenoid post.

    2. Route the red, fused wire from the switch location to a suitable switched, "hot" wire from the ignition switch. Route the spade connector through the switch bracket and plate and push onto the #2 Power Interrupt switch terminal. Splice the wire end into the "hot" wire with the snap lock connector provided.

    3. Route the black wire from the switch location to a suitable, metal ground under the dash. Route the spade connector through the switch bracket and plate and push onto the #3 Power Interrupt switch..."

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here's the link to the directions...

    http://www.gowarn.com/aux_incl/pdf.ashx?pdf=WAR_62132_INS_1.pdf&line=WAR

IIRC the kit was like $65 shipped. It had everything in it that you'll need. Although the actual switch and wire connectors were cheap Chinese garbage! I used my own connectors and switch...then always use shrink tubing and dielectric grease (that's just me).

    image.jpg
The switch they sent was probably OK. But I wanted
something nice looking and match my other switches.
This is the switch that I ordered.

I hope this helped you @Myz250f !!! To me you can't beat it. Save you from having to worry about people messing with your winch and it'll save dead batteries! Win..Win!!

I'm right there with you buddy...living here in Ohio. The amount of salt and and salt-water (brine) they put on the road is just crazy. Wish people would just learn to drive on snowy roads. Look at the amount of money the cities and states would save not buying salt or brine. Then the amount of money we'd save on rust saving aids with our vehicles...anyway.

It depends on what the item is and how much salt spray it will receive. Like my winch and winch calbe I'll spray with Amsoil HD metal protector. Covers whatever you spray in a clear coating that stays where it was sprayed and protects that item from salt/water...so it won't rust. Electrical items and more delicate items...I'll spray with Amsoil MP lubercate (Amsoil version of WD-40)

    http://www.amsoil.com/shop/by-produ...protectants/mp-metal-protector/?code=AMPSC-EA

You can look them up and see what Amsoil said you should use them on and how to use them. I'm sure there're cheaper products available...I use Amsoil in all my vehicles and have slowly started using all their products. However, I still use WD-40 a lot. It's a very good product.

Not a big deal, got paid last week and meant to pay the rest, but I guess I figured it'd be a while before mined shipped. But obviously you've been busy haha
