Please see the first page for a wiring diagram and some pictures provided by tacomapros!

I think someone tried using that plate and the box stuck up way too high. The hood was hitting it.

That's if you mount the box where everyone's mounting it. At the two bolt holes on driver's side under the hood, close to the firewall.

@916carl youre gonna love what im about to upload.

after we find out if we can fit a second battery in there, i might have to ask you mock me that battery plate/bracket

You will have a wiring to connect to the battery and wiring for the ground.

adding an inline fuse or circuit breaker for the box itself is up to the user. i wouldnt do it, since each circuit is already fused. Do you see a huge fuse or circuit breaker for your stock/oem fuse box? :D

See above in regard to an inline fuse.

Yes, this is a secondary fuse box/relay box so you wouldnt have excess wiring, and relays all over the engine bay.

$30 for the whole harness of six switchbacks

im the one that is suppose to kill you with spending on mods. not you to me.

    So here is the explanation:

You have one black lead for grounding the box. You have one positive lead for grounding the battery. The SHORT harness has wiring that will go into your cabin to your switchbacks. The red wire is used to illuminate all your switches so you wont have to tap into the ilumination of the truck itself. The red wire will also be the power for activate the relays. The rest of the colored wires will activate each individual relays.

On the longer harness, white, yellow, brown, blue and green wires are the wires that are on RELAYED circuits, these are the POWER OUT to the accesories. If you connect hella lights to the yellow wire, you plug your rocker switch at the switchback with the yellow wire behind it! :D

Notice the orange, gray, tan, and pink wiring?

These are for accesories that DONT require relays. For example some LED wiring. Remember, if your accessory didnt come with a relay, it DOESNT need a relay. But what about a switch?

That's up to you, these four extra wires can be used to wire any non relayed accesory, but you will have to install your own switch somewhere else. Say the stock location next to the steering wheel? or under the AC controls by the cig lighter?

    Make sense?

Here's another thing you guys probably haven't noticed:

There's SIX switch locations.. but only five wire leads going to the switch blanks, the @Iggy. switch panel has SIX switch slots... Whoa, what do we do with that extra sixth switch blank? That location is powered by the red wire that also powers the ilumination, and is fused at F6 (see wiring diagram). So if your switches dont work, check your fuse at F6!

Okay, so that SIXTH switch location can be used to power an NON relayed accesory! :)

What if I want 6 switches all with relays? I plan on having 6 different switches with lights/light bars. I'm assuming all of the lights have relays

if that's the case, youll have to install your own sixth relay. Since the fuse box only has 5 relays.

Ok that's not bad, I'll just tap my current lights into the new box and throw my switch on. Could I run my cb on the box too? Including my 6 other accessories since it doesn't need a relay?

Keep in mind the following limitations per circuit and the fusebox as a whole, from tacomapros:

    How many amps per relay?

The manufactures specifications is 30 amp per channel. The relays are 35 AMP relays. The box is rated at 80 max.
Usually the load can exceed it a little but that's the MFG spec. Also, with LED it generally is much lower power requirements.
What gauges are the wiring leads that connect to the accessories?

There are two sets of wire leads.
    -Relayed leads at 14ga
    -Fused only leads are 18ga
    Both are Pure copper

Cool! I'd just wire it into one of the non-relayed non-switched power cables correct

I got it now. Thank you sir.
I have an unrelated wiring question if you can help me with it?
Posted this in different thread but didn't get much help.

I've just added an extra trans cooler and mounted a fan in front of it. The fan has an inline T-stat 165off and 185on but I would like to have the option of turning the fan on with a switch in the cab to help with a/c and other cooling needs when I'm at a stop for a period of time. I know the fan willnt do much but I want it:angrygirl: . So my question is should I just tap into power wire after the T-Stat with 12v feed? Or will That back feed the switch if the stat closes and burn out the switch. The other thing is I forget things a lot and didn't want open switch keeping t-stat from running the fan.......will a 3 way rocker switch do this?

Even if I would the tran fluid will still be flowing through 10x12 cooling coil and the factory coil so it should still be better then stock. :threadjacked: I'll stop . But if someone wants to pm a wiring diagram to hook this up that would be great:help:
