Right on, just have some commitments that won’t let me make the trip down until mid to late May unfortunately. Probably be a good idea to call them and ask I imagine.

It shouldn’t be a problem. I just don’t want everyone trying to push they’re appointments back if they don’t have to. Call them up, let them know the situation and that you’re making the drive from up north, make your deposit and you should be fine!

So that invoice they’re sending you will be the full price invoice just showing what the parts cost is. They won’t revise it till either you choose to set an early appointment or we hit the 16+ signups.

You should be able to just call them and place the deposit if I’m not mistaken

Sounds good. I’ll post up here when ever it comes through and I can make my deposit. I’ll reach out on Monday to them if I don’t have it by then. But you can count me in

They should be able to get it to you pretty quick. I’d probably follow up with them later today if they haven’t gotten it to you. Usually that stuff happens pretty quick. @JoBroTACO got his fast

Talked to them again today and asked about this. They really weren’t trying to do a locker group buy as its kind of hard for them, however, if they get enough orders for the same brand they will ask the manufacturer’s and see what they can get, pass the savings down to you guys.

Arb, they said pretty much no chance in hell, Arb is really difficult to work with, which I’m honestly not surprised about.

They said Eaton might be willing, which is good since that is what @JoBroTACO is ordering. Maybe it will work out

I’d still recommend getting a regear too as it does help the 3rd gens a bit with gear hunting and what not from what I hear, but that is totally up to you @Topanga Taco

Not having re-geared ever, what changes would that bring to those of us keeping the stock tire sizes, in my case a 245/75-16? For example, does it affect the mph reading drastically?

I’ll be picking up my locker from a vendor here. But if the gearing doesn’t affect anything but helping the gear hunting and a better launch, I’d seriously think this over some.

    Thank you.

You can use this website to calculate some of the differences the gear ratio will create. It won’t drastically affect your speedometer reading unless you get some crazy gear ratio

It will give you a better launch at the expense of top speed and maybe an mpg or 2. Again depends on how drastic your gear ratio change is. There’s a few threads on the gear hunt that I would recommend reading up on. I’m manual so by no means am I an expert on that

You could also regear with a higher ratio (lower number) which would give you better mpg and in theory also solve the gear hunt issue but you’re going to lose some low end power doing that. Idk if I would do that but hey, options lol

Kind of unrelated but I believe you were saying you wanted to make your truck more trail capable somewhere hence the locker. Going with some larger tires does help make it more capable as it makes it easier for the truck to roll over rocks and gets you more clearance. 245’s aren’t very big honestly. Even just going to 265/75/16 will make a huge difference and should clear without lift if I’m not mistaken. Plus makes the truck look cooler. I’d get tires personally but that’s entirely you’re decision
