^Yeah I ordered the first one and had it in 4 days. the second battery I ordered took about a week cause they where out. Had to get in on a backorder showed up just in time to get everything wired up. Would not be surprised if its cause of this system matt has developed causing the shortage.

If you are ordering from batterymart double check coupon codes online I was able to save additional 10% or 19.00 bucks first one I got 10% and 19.00 off the second.

Batterymart is where I was shopping as well (Matts recommendation) and by far the best price I found. I called them and they gave me and honest delivery time, not to mention $40 off with coupons, free shipping and no tax. Sweet deal. Nothing worse than not having all the parts you need to complete your install. Especially with such a nice kit staring you in the face!

How proprietary is this? IOW, Optima 25/35 fit would be (1) terrible or (b) acceptable? Never know what might be available when. Also price for tray alone? Looks cool!

First let me start by thanking Matt at Off-Grid Engineering. His customer service has been outstanding both pre and post purchase. I'm normally not an early adopter of new products/companies but after speaking with Matt I was sold. The products are everything he represented and more. I wanted a turn key solution and that's what I received.

    IMG_1808.jpg

I knew that Matt was working on the dual tray for the drivers side. This option definitely has some advantages, I had the space on the left side and elected to install there in order to balance the weight better. The 35 PC1400 fits like a glove, it's perfect. You can't tell by the pic but the AC lines clear the battery. The bottom line will need some adjustment but all is good. I also used some rubber gasket material to shield the fasteners from the battery on the fender mount. I've been monitoring the batteries for movement and they haven't budged (need to see how they do off road). I also used lock washers below the thumb wheels. If the wheels don't work out I'll switch to some nylocks.

    IMG_1799.jpg

Right side went just as well. I added two 1 1/2" wide strips of rubber tank gasket material the length tray between the tray and the fender on the underside. It's rock solid, unbelievably so. I only had to make one cut and crimp for the factory ground cable. I have the extension for the starter cable but decided to save that project for a later date.

    IMG_1798.jpg

I ordered the cables pre terminated for the auxiliary fuse box and circuit breaker. It all worked out, basically I had to place the components where the cables allowed. I fabricated the platform out of aluminum and have room for relays. I made a separate mounting bracket which is 1 1/2" x 2" aluminum angle (needed to shim the top to level the platform). I then drilled and tapped the platform to the mount. This will allow me easier access if I need to get under this location or change the platform if I decide/need go with something like a Bussmann or Switch Pro in the future. The two fasteners for the existing holes in the fender were M8 in my application.

    IMG_1796.jpg

With all said and done I'm very satisfied with the outcome/product. This is the perfect base to start adding the accessories I have planned for the truck. As far as the system goes I still need to get some military terminal insulators, 12v meter of some sort and mount the ACR switch. Currently the ACR switch resides in the change cubby out of sight and out of mind.

Awesome! 169.00 when ordered with a wiring kit. 179.00 by itself.

I will have these completed and ready to sell tomorrow!

The case on the Odyssey battery is actually shared by many manufacturers, including Northstar and X2 (from Batteries Plus)... so there are definitely choices. Im pretty sure Optimas will fit also but I did not have any during the design phase so I can't say for sure until I get a few to test out. Most likely, there are a lot of choices out there... I just wanted to be up front about what the tray was specifically designed to hold.

169.00 when purchased with a kit. 179.00 by itself.

That looks really nice and clean!

Great solution for those who can't fit a battery on the passenger side.

Not sure about model number... but a Group 35 should be a Group 35. Apples to apples. The dimensions between manufacturers seems to be very slight.

When I was shopping Northstars as well as the Battery Plus knock offs they were damn near identical to the Odyssey 35's. You can
check the actual dimensions on line.

I believe they are all actually made with the same case. The manufacturers may choose to measure in different locations, thus, giving very slight differences. Check out this Odyssey Group 25 (same as 35 with reversed terminals) next to the X2 Group 35.

I was checking out the NSA set up by trail toys. Would that work well with your dual tray?

Also curious if there are any other wireless fuse box options out there that people know of and like?

Yep! No reason why those wouldn't work with any of my systems.

I personally don't know of any other wireless fuse box options.
