OK, this may be my first electrical purchase for future mods.
Interested in the 6 switch, but need to gain a better understanding of what this includes as well as what I want to do.

subbed for pricing details and conversation to learn if this is money well spent for my future needs.

Definitely is. It includes the relays switches and harnesses needed to hook everything up. It's got everything you need. You will need to either cut a whole in the visor for the switches or use @Iggy switch panel. I have the panel now and I'm going to cut into my visor for these switches. If you need an ARB compressor and lockers hooked up they make a harness to eliminate the harness for the switches that arb supplies which is awesome. I bought the harness because I was going to modify it to use with Iggys PDS system but I need more relays and switches any way so I'll wait for this and not cut the harness up

the modular 6 switch kit, includes "The Source" which is sPod's main circuit board, and includes 6 switches for your placement in your cab.

The install is super simple! Mount "The Source" in the engine bay. Connect your positive to the battery, and ground to the negative (or a ground). Then feed the 1 wire into the cab. From inside the cab, the other switch harness plugs in, and you connect your switches and go. When you are ready to connect lights/accessories, only a positive and negative are required to attach to "The Source".

So I was thinking the first thing I needed was an "extra" fuse box, so if I understand this takes care of that, plus has switches and what not. My current needs are to add switches for heated seats, then I want to lights.

Am I barking up the right tree?

Just got seat covers and added heat to them, currently its cigaret lighter powered, want to wire them up to switches for a more permanent solution.

I mean I don't see why that wouldn't work. Just have to run the wires out of the firewall and to the sPod

My hope is to get to a met and greet and check out how some others have wired stuff up, and then get this done over the summer. What ever I add, I want to ensure its not fing up the trucks electronics, so I figure if I use a separate fuse box for my add ons, I can always isolate my stuff, and can not be blamed for any electrical warranty issues.

So from reading your post, I guess I couldn't run the heated seats right to the switch and get power from there. Please understand, beyond replacing radios, I have no vehicle wiring experience.

So the way these work is that the sPod main piece where the relays are is where everything wires into. Youll have a main harness for the switches that plugs into the main piece and then your accessories wire into the sPod. Let me take a picture of my current setup so you get an idea

Thanks, it sounds as though it will work like I am thinking. Basically, my own little extension cord for my added stuff.

So this is what I have now and what the sPod does too.

Main piece where the relays and everything wires into

    image.jpg

    image.jpg

This is also where the accessories like light bars plug into

    image.jpg

The the harness for the switches plug into the main piece. Notice it routes through the firewall

    image.jpg

Finally the @Iggy switch panel where the switches go

    image.jpg

This is exactly how the sPod will work more or less. This is just for demonstration purposes because I am buying an sPod because I need more relays and switches

also, @Spare Parts I have pictures in the original post, of my current setup. I just do not have any of the single wire loom going into the cab, through the firewall.

I would recommend going with the sPod because ease of use and what you get for the money. A very good thought out kit
