I finally buttoned up the rear. Rides crazy smooth at high speeds on the rough roads. Thanks again for the GB Jake!

Truck looks great with those wheels. What part number rear shock did you end up with?

Thanks dude, rear 2.0 resi with CD adjuster for 3-5" part number 985-26-118. They work great with the Dakar pack. Super droopy. I need to spin up the front coils about an inch to reduce the rake a little. I think it's like 2" higher in the rear right now.

Im looking to get the same set up. I wanted to grab 2.5's in the rear but they only have them for a 1.5" lift. Im trying to get 2+ out of the rear. What did you end up at after the dakar pack? Do you mean 2" higher than the front? or 2" higher from stock?

    Thanks!

I got 2+ inches lift over stock in the rear. Only have 1" lift over stock on the front. I will turn up the coils in front another inch to get back to factory rake. I went with 2.0's in the rear because of the extra droop, and they will honestly be plenty cooling for me with the resi's in high speed off road. I'd definitely go with the part number ending in 118.

    Gotacha!

Excuse my ignorance. If the shock is rated for 3-5" lift, but Im running a 2" lift via Leaf pack, what is the consequences of that format. I understand droop as a benefit for off road/ flex. Does a 2-3" shock not have the same droop potential? Im having a hard time getting over the recommended lift sizes via fox website.

It's not ignorance cause you anti ignoring it. Good on you for looking for the answers and getting it right, that's what I did too. Keep on asking questions.

Fox doesn't offer 3rd gen specific parts yet, it's all 05+... so I think it has to do with fox using 2nd gen measurements when saying for 3" -5". We 3rd gens have an inch over the 2nd gens, so it could be said that the 118's are really for 2-4" on the 3rd gens. Fox is also conservative on their measurements. In the end you give up just a tad of up travel for the extra droop - It just pairs better with the ride height and flex of the dakars. I did upgrade the bump stops as well, so I won't be bottoming out the shock and it's butter smooth when i do hit the stops.

    Sweet!

Thank makes perfect sense. Fox's customer service is meh at best, so this is really helpful. So what I understand is the 2-3" that I was originally looking at is effectively 1-2". So with a dakar pack it would be maxed out.

Any other quarqs/ tricks to look out for ( 2.5 front/ resi - 2.0 rear cd - dakar ) setup? What bump stops are you running?

    Thanks again

Yes, go with the 118's for 3.5-5.5". Had to make some adjustments to the skid plate cause the sway bar relocate make it barely touch the brackets behind the skid. No biggy, just a few bolts to mess with and washers to space. The UCA's, I'd go with SPC because they are adjustable and you can dial your caster in way more than a fixed version like my DK's. super bump stops from wheelers. It's a solid set up and I really like it so far.
    super bumps.

not sure how old this post is but just a heads up on oyu guys might want to try and adjust those reservoirs a little more to have the hose different.
I had mine like that originally and they rubbed on my wheels.

Or at least check yours out at full lock how close you are.

I’ve discovered I hate all Suspension companies after my experience with them/talking to them at SEMA. They don’t care about dates because their stuff will continue to sell. Our wholesaler was supposed to receive a big shipment of fox like the 28th I think? With @elnip in it. But they’ve yet to deiver. Makes me wanna pull my eyes out lol.

Literally, a guy at king said “we don’t really care about how long it takes to produce stuff. It’s selling”
