I will say that prepare to spend at least 2.5 hours putting together just the rack because it takes a while to get the hang of juggling 4 foot long pieces of aluminum! Also these are very well made because they are VERY snug fitting.
Will fully install tomorrow.

Well, my factory holes were not lining up with the railings and spacers so I took it to a local toyota dealer to fix the factory hole issue and had them install for me. Now any leaking/issues should be warrantied by the dealer, although I did have to cough up a little money it was worth me not screwing up a 40k vehicle. Also all of the technicians, who had never seen a frontrunner really liked the look and said I'm ready for a safari haha.

 

Looks great. Interested to know how muck noise the rack makes.

 

How does the XM radio receive?

 

Got my tracking number. Did anyone purchase both rack and accessories as separate orders and get two different shipments to track or did it come all as one shipment?

Rack built. Took an hour from unbox to complete. Hate picture instructions. LoL

The bolt heads are inconsistently 5mm. My own 5mm Allen wrench and the one provided by FR fit some bolt heads easier than others. Take your time do you don't strip the heads out.



Also, read carefully. You need to insert a bolt into the T-slot BEFORE you mount the wind deflector. Instructions say to insert a nut. However, the install guide for the roof rack get clearly show a bolt.



One the deflector is mounted you can't drlp the bolt into the slot. See cross bar at bottom of photo for reference.

 

Mock up for final install. Just waiting on my 22mm punch to arrive Tuesday. Nobody local had one. Had to hit Amazon.





Rifle case holds my recovery gear. Has two built in locks. I'll be drilling holes in the bottom for bolts. Then will use large washers and bolts inside it to secure. The Escaper Buddy traction boards will get held in place using FR eye bolts. And once on the truck ill mount threw hilift jack mount along the edge.

Rotox can double stack thanks to my Rotopax handles.

 

Okay so I know it's a super super long shot but figured I would put it out there and see if anyone is interested.

Reason:
I bought a brand new Front runner rack for the cab to match the rear Front runner rack that I already had, but once I got it I realized that they have made some changes to the design of the front rack. The biggest issue was that the racks are now about 49" wide instead of 46" wide. So unfortunately I had to order new cross slats for the rear rack to make the two racks even in width. Now I have the front rack installed and realize that I like the way the older design looked more. The new design sits slightly higher allowing more room for a shark fin antenna (which I don't have). The other benefit to the New design is that it allows you to mount one of the undermount front runner Tables.

What I am looking For:
I am looking for someone in Socal area that has a older version rack front and rear in good condition that is the 46" wide version with the cab mounts that look like this.


Just looking to do a swap of both racks if anyone is interested. I know it's a super long shot, but I figured I would put it out there.

 

Mine showed up today. Hope it's in good shape. This was hanging out of the box. Not the arm. The rubber piece. I will check it out tonight

 

Checked it out looks like its good. Looks time consuming to put together. What fasteners are you guys using to attach stuff to the rack? Source for the fasteners?

 

What the hell is that? Mine had no rubber stuff in the box.

Also, watch how this guy cuts his weather strips if you want a short cut! I destroyed mine and had to buy new ones. Tip: don't even try using a holesaw like instructions say you can.

 

mine is scheduled to show up tomorrow (lol, actually today now that I see the time). I'll see how mine shows up. good call on the video, great approach to not try and get thru all the weather stripping at once. Gonna be busy man between this and my CV/LCA install.

 

I have a rack for a cap. What's hanging out is the rubber gasket for the track that mounts to the cap.
Check out the Prinsu Access cab mounting thread to see how to punch holes in the weather stripping. There is a metal strip running through the strips.

 

If anyone runs into a situation where they need to sell their rack at a slight discount, hit me up. I'm a cheap guy that wishes I had a nice rack.

 

FINALLY got my rack on thanks to @MTgirl for helping out. Mental support, a helping hand, pulling weeds for me...

Anyhow. I rearranged my layout a bit. Daylight pics tomorrow. It is way passed bedtime.
