    I ended up going with the shorter one that uses only the stock mounting holes. I kept going back and forth between wanting that and the full-length rack, but decided that I didn't want to drill and risk possibly having issues later down the road.

    I had the same concern about noise, but on the first test drive, I was pretty surprised.

    I'm not. Or at least not my gas cans. Can't vent them if they lay flat! And in the sun they swell like a son of a bitch.

    I put my waterpax up top using the FR Rotopax mount bracket.

    When they swell that bad you can't get them off the bracket. Or is also difficult to open them. Thus they are essentially useless.

    Did anyone mount a FR rack on an ARE cap using the ARE provided roof tracks? If so what slide nuts did you use, as the FR ones are too thick.
